The NEXA 309L-16 stainless steel welding electrode is engineered for welding dissimilar metals and overlays, particularly between stainless steel and mild or low-alloyed steels. It offers exceptional weldability and resistance to intergranular corrosion, making it suitable for a wide range of applications across various industries. It Contains low levels of carbon to minimize the formation of carbide precipitation and prevent intergranular corrosion in the heat-affected zone (HAZ). The deposition rates and smooth arc characteristics, resulting in high-quality welds with minimal spatter and slag. An all position SS electrode giving 25/12 Cr/Ni deposit with excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and heat resistance. Gives stable arc, low spatter, smooth weld profile, easily removable slag. The weld deposit is of radiographic quality and withstand temperature upto 1100°C. Its Suitable for both flat and horizontal fillet welding positions, offering versatility in various welding applications and environments.
